Hospitality Manager

A Quinta is a space that hosts a community of people including workers, volunteers and residents. The hospitality manager needs to be a good communicator, be versatile and organised, able to improvise and ready to jump on challenging situations. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainable hospitality and eager to join a thriving regenerative community and a growing landing village.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hospitality: Hosting and welcoming people (volunteers and residents), introducing the farm and its characters.

  • Housekeeping: Coordinating with the hospitality team to ensure smooth hospitality handover (to make sure the common spaces and rooms are clean and welcoming before guests arrive).

  • Community: Working closely with the community manager, organising and scheduling community tasks where needed, supporting in maintaining the balance and harmony of the group.

  • Internal & External Communication: Responding to emails, Guest inquiries, Managing payments and bookings, Managing back office and administrative tasks, Receiving volunteer applications and onboarding new volunteers.

PROFILE

  • Commitment of min. 4 months to a year

  • Commitment of minimum 28hrs a week

  • Good management, communication and organisational skills, problem solving

  • Ability to work with a team but also independently

  • An eye for detail

  • Experience within the hospitality sector

  • Willing to commit to work on weekends

  • Willing to live in and become an active member of a community

  • Adaptability and flexibility in terms of availability to accommodate A Quinta’s operational needs (will include some weekend work)

  • Living in an off grid, self sufficient community, experiencing community life and enjoying the community programs like yoga, singing circles, listening circles, dance classes, group meditations etc.

  • Monthly salary (TBC)

Ideally someone who is seeking to live in a community and can work on their own laptop.
