Garden Manager

VISION

A Quinta practices small-scale, no-dig agriculture based on permaculture principles. We grow food in order to feed our own growing community and also to provide weekly veggie boxes to the wider community around us. Along with aiming for our own food sovereignty, we use holistic methods in order to build soil health and increase the fertility of the land.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily care of the garden (seeding, transplanting, harvesting, maintenance, etc)

• Crop planning

• Management of sales and accounting

• Volunteer coordination

• Nursery management

• Compost building

• 35 hours/week, from Monday to Friday
  

IN EXCHANGE WE OFFER

• Accommodation in a private room

• 3 meals/day from Monday to Friday

• Food provided for the weekends

• Salary 350€/month after successfully completed trial period

• Living in a regenerative farm, enjoying the benefits of the lakes, waterfall, mandala garden with herbs and medicinal plants, market garden, agroforest and what the land offers

• Living in an off grid, self sufficient community, experiencing community life and enjoying the community programs, like yoga, singing circle, listening circle, dance classes, group meditation etc.

We are looking for someone who is interested in experiencing life in a community, and who can commit to a minimum period of 2 months.
